What’s an all-inclusive price range to attend Kentucky Derby weekend?

This year is the 150th Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs - which is generating a lot of buzz around the world. Increased interest and demand has seen prices for lodging, tickets, and transport increase by about 22% in comparison to last year. To give our clients a better understanding of pricing, click the drop down menu to view price ranges we are seeing in the market.

  • Hotel stays are two night minimums starting at $750 a night for three star properties, and $2,400 a night for five star properties. There are Airbnb properties in the market that average around $1,900 per bedroom for a three night stay. On average, Derby attendees can expect to spend between $1,500 and $4,800 for a two night stay in the market for both Oaks and Kentucky Derby. There are more economical options if you are interested in commuting over an hour into downtown Louisville.

  • Kentucky Derby 150 has a plethora of track access options with various levels of perks like open bar, priority seating, VIP access, complimentary valet, and more. This year, open air grandstand seating starts at $950 for Oaks & Derby access (two day). For those seeking a more VIP credential with access to areas like Turf Club, The Paddock, & Silks Balcony - two day access credentials start at $3,600 per person with a six person minimum. These higher tier access tickets include VIP tables, open bar, and an assortment of all inclusive food and viewing options.

  • We can offer black car service, bus transport, and private vehicle rental options for our clients. In market, Uber/Lyft times are long and can only transport small groups. We can offer private transport options with premiere parking to Churchill Downs and hot routes to downtown. Most of our black car options start at $1,500 per day, with tour coach options starting at $4,600 per day.

  • You can expect to spend between $3,800 to $4,600 for two nights in Louisville, KY with your lodging, flights, and track access included. If you want a more premiere access option with access to parties, dinners, distillery tours, and VIP track access - the range can be froom $7,000 to $16,000 per person for three nights.
